The probe adopts radio frequency plasma technology. High frequency energy ionizes conductive saline to generate plasma at the electrode tip. The plasma breaks molecular bonds within soft tissue, enabling controlled ablation at relatively low temperature.

This technology allows effective removal of tonsillar and soft palate tissue while minimizing thermal spread and reducing postoperative tissue damage.

During ENT surgery, the probe is positioned at the target tissue. When RF energy is activated, a plasma field forms at the electrode tip.

The plasma dissolves tonsillar tissue and soft palate structures through molecular dissociation. Simultaneous coagulation provides effective hemostasis, reducing intraoperative bleeding and improving visualization during tonsillectomy, UPPP, and CAUP procedures.
