Our RF Plasma Bipolar Hemostatic Electrode works in conjunction with the plasma surgical system to generate a highly concentrated 50-100 μm thin plasma layer around electrode tips, utilizing saline or bodily electrolytes as the conductive medium.
With energy of 3-5 eV, this plasma zone breaks organic molecular chains of target tissue for molecular-level separation and volume reduction. Unlike traditional electrosurgery, current does not flow through patient tissue. The system achieves effective hemostasis without significant tissue charring, delivering minimal thermal penetration and negligible collateral thermal injury for open surgical procedures. It also significantly reduces harmful surgical smoke to protect operating room staff. Suitable for multiple departments including breast, thyroid, orthopedic-spine and head-neck surgery.
Driven by radio-frequency plasma bipolar system, the electrode forms a thin but high-oxidizing plasma layer (50-100 μm). Tissue ablation occurs via molecular chain cracking instead of high-temperature burning. Surface temperature remains low, greatly limiting heat spread toward surrounding healthy tissue.
